A brilliant invention, that even we can't make a mistake.  Just put the plastic egg in the water at the same time as the eggs ( It doesn't matter if the water has started boiling or not).  It simply changes colour as the egg warms through. Plenty of cooking choices, including hard, medium and soft, with medium hard and medium soft a real option.  This will be the first time your eggs will be cooked to perfection.
